I’m a Creative Director and Strategist specializing in Digital Product Design and Platform Realization.


About

I’m a maker of things – a habitual tinkerer. My life has been dedicated to understanding how things work and how they are made. I disassemble, take apart, dissect, and void warranties in my pursuit of learning.

I’ve worked as a technologist, an experience designer, a strategist, a product owner, and a creative and technical director. The one commonality across all these roles is a deep passion for learning how things are made.

Currently, I'm building Common Objects, a product design company that brings art to everyday objects, with my wife, Tess Whitehead.

Previously, I built and worked as the Executive Creative Director at Supply, a digital product and brand agency, with my three business partners.


Work

2009 to Present

Over the course of my career, I've had the privilege of working with some of the world's most recognizable brands and collaborating with companies and organizations that are just getting started. I've worked on everything from initial concepts and strategies to design and engineering production to last-mile delivery (installation and integration). I've delivered digital and physical experiences, products, and apps. My work has been deployed through museum exhibits, interactive installations, commercial websites, analytics platforms, marketing collateral, and physical goods.

My Approach

I've held a variety of professional design and technology positions in digital product, interactive exhibits, and platform design. I’ve been responsible for everything from design strategy to fabrication and installation. And my process has evolved to encompass it all.
